Simon is a professional photographer based on the South Coast. After retiring in June 2024 from a distinguished 32-year career in the fire service, he shifted his focus to photography, with a particular interest in documentary work. His journey into photography began with a desire to capture the lives of his colleagues and the unique atmosphere of the fire station.

In addition to documentary photography, Simon specialises in photographing amateur boxing events, a sport he has been closely involved with for many years. His background in the sport allows him to capture its raw intensity and energy. Simon also has a deep appreciation for landscape and street photography, which enables him to explore and document the world around him through different perspectives.

A family-oriented individual, Simon lives with his wife and youngest child, while his older children have now ventured out on their own. He enjoys the outdoors, embracing activities such as camping, hiking, and making the most of his coastal location with paddle boarding and sea swimming.

Simon has been recognised for his photographic talent, having won several amateur awards, including placing in the top 10 in a recent International Amateur Street Photographer (ISAP) competition.
